Wok-Seared Tender Beef with Caramelized Onions in Savory Soy-Ginger Glaze

Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
2 large yellow onions, sliced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Sliced green onions (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
Add sliced beef in a single layer and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until just browned. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining oil to the pan and stir-fry onions over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized.
Add garlic and ginger, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return beef to the wok and pour in the sauce.
Toss everything together and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef evenly.
Garnish with green onions if desired and serve immediately.
