Ingredients:
1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup strawberry pie filling
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tablespoon milk
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Unfold puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 4 equal squares.
Spoon a dollop of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each square.
Add a spoonful of strawberry pie filling on top of the cream cheese.
Fold each square diagonally to form a triangle and press edges to seal.
Use a fork to crimp the edges securely.
Whisk egg with milk and brush over the tops of each turnover.
Place turnovers on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
