Unplug the dryer from the wall.
If gas powered, turn off the gas supply for safety.
Carefully pull the dryer away from the wall to access the vent.
2. Disconnect the Dryer Vent Hose
Locate the vent tube attached to the back of the dryer.
Loosen the clamp and detach the hose.
3. Vacuum the Hose
Insert your vacuum hose into the vent tube.
Move slowly and reach as far as possible to remove lint buildup.
Repeat until no lint remains.
4. Clean the Dryer Vent Port
Vacuum inside the opening on the back of the dryer.
Wipe any dust from around the area with a microfiber cloth.
5. Clean the Wall Vent
Go to the wall opening and vacuum as far inside as you can.
Use a dryer vent brush to push and pull lint out if needed.
6. Check the Outside Vent
Locate the exterior dryer vent on your home.
Remove any visible lint or debris.
Make sure the flap opens freely — airflow must be clear.
