Flaky Apple Pie Bars – Buttery, Sweet, and Comforting


Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into the bottom of a greased 8×8-inch baking pan to form an even crust. Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.

    In a separate bowl, toss sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, flour, and lemon juice. Spread evenly over the pre-baked crust.

  • Prepare the Crumble Topping:
    Combine flour, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Mix until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the apple layer.

  • Bake:
    Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.

  • Cool and Serve:
    Let bars cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve as-is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
