Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Make Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, condensed milk, egg, and softened butter. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
Knead: Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook.
First Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
Shape Bread: Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
Second Rise: Cover and let rise for another 30–45 minutes until the dough has puffed up.
Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
Cool & Serve: Let cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm with butter, jam, or as-is!
