How to Clean a Keurig

Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Run several brewing cycles without a K-Cup, discarding the liquid after each cycle, until the reservoir is empty. Then, run 2–3 cycles of fresh water to rinse out any remaining vinegar.

5. Wipe the exterior
Use a damp cloth to wipe the outside of the machine, including the control panel.

6. Reassemble and refill
Once everything is dry, put the machine back together, fill with fresh water, and it’s ready for use.

Tips to Keep Your Keurig Clean

  • Empty and rinse the reservoir daily to prevent mineral buildup.

  • Descale monthly if you use hard water or brew frequently.

  • Use filtered water to reduce scale and improve coffee taste.

  • Clean the drip tray weekly to prevent sticky buildup.
