How to store lemons to keep them fresh for longer and don’t make them moldy

When we cut a lemon to squeeze some juice in half then we do not keep it open, in this way it will go easily and quickly bad! We use the toothpick technique! This will keep you cool in the fridge for a lot longer.

Inside the water

If we want to keep them fresh in the fridge for a long time without even cutting them to preserve as much as possible the pulp an infallible method is as follows. Let’s take a resealable glass container and put the lemons in it. At this point let’s cover them with water and then close the container. Let’s store it in the fridge for 2-3 days.
If we have already opened them, the part cut in half let’s keep it upside down inside a saucer full of water always in the fridge. So the pulp will be able to keep properly.

Salted condiment

Finally, an infallible technique is that of salty seasoning. We have a layer of sea salt inside a baking dish. At this point add the rind of at least 5 lemons. Mix with a spoon. Now let’s pour into the juice of lemons squeezed to the last drop and stir again. Now we inquire at 190oC for about 20 minutes and then for another 10 minutes at 150oC. Once removed from the oven let it cool completely and then store in a glass jar. Our salad dressing, pasta and cold rice is ready to be stored in the pantry
