HUGE POT of Chilli At Home

Ingredients

2 lb (900 g) ground beef

2 tbsp olive oil

1 large onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 red bell pepper, chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 cans (28 oz / 800 g) crushed tomatoes

2 cans (15 oz / 425 g each) kidney beans, drained

1 can (15 oz / 425 g) black beans, drained

3 tbsp chili powder

2 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

2 cups beef broth

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a huge pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.

Add onion and bell peppers; cook 5–7 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic.

Add crushed tomatoes, beans, beef broth, and all spices. Mix well.

Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 45–60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and rich.

Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot straight from the pot with bread, rice, or toppings like cheese and sour cream.
