Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Chicken
Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and a little olive oil.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook chicken for 6–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C).
Remove from skillet and slice into strips.
3. Combine Pasta and Pesto
Toss cooked pasta with pesto until evenly coated.
Add sliced chicken on top.
4. Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and pine nuts if desired.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
