Slow Cooker Baked Beans

  1. Place the soaked beans into the slow cooker, ensuring there’s enough room for expansion.

  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine molasses, brown sugar, maple syrup, ketchup, dry mustard, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne. Pour over the beans.

  4. Top with the chopped bacon (or ham hocks).

  5. Pour in enough water to fully submerge the beans. Add a little extra if needed.

  6. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours, or until the beans are tender and the sauce is thick.
