Steak & Eggs with Crispy Hash Browns

  1. Grate the potatoes using a box grater.

  2. Place grated potatoes in cold water, rinse, then squeeze out excess water with a clean towel.

  3. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Spread the grated potatoes in the skillet, press down with a spatula, and cook 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Cook the Steak

  1. Pat steak dry with paper towels. Rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.

  2. Heat a grill pan or skillet over high heat until hot.

  3. Sear steak 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and preferred doneness).
