For generations, jeans have been a wardrobe staple, valued for both durability and timeless style. But one detail often sparks curiosity—the tiny pocket stitched inside the right front pocket.
This feature dates back to the late 1800s, when Levi Strauss, the pioneer of denim workwear, introduced jeans for miners, cowboys, and laborers. At the time, pocket watches were a common accessory, and this little compartment—known as the “watch pocket”—was designed specifically to hold them. Its snug fit kept watches secure, protected from scratches and damage during tough, physical work.
