5-Minute Caramel Walnuts

Line a heatproof dinner plate with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2: Combine Ingredients
In a medium non-stick skillet, add the walnuts, brown sugar, water, butter, and ⅛ teaspoon salt.

Step 3: Cook the Caramel
Place the skillet over high heat and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally during the first 4 minutes.

Step 4: Final Minute
Reduce heat to medium and stir constantly during the last minute. The mixture will thicken, darken, and become glossy as the sugar clings to the nuts and moisture evaporates.

Step 5: Remove from Heat
Once there’s no liquid left in the pan, remove immediately to prevent burning.

Step 6: Spread and Sprinkle
Transfer the caramel-coated walnuts to the prepared parchment paper. Spread into a single layer and sprinkle the remaining 2 pinches of salt evenly on top.

Step 7: Cool and Store
Allow the walnuts to cool completely. Once hardened, break apart and enjoy. Store in an airtight container for several days.
