Caramel Swirl Loaf Cake: Buttery, Sweet, and Irresistibly Swirled

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Cream Butter & Sugars:
In a large bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.

  4. Combine Batter:
Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, gently mixing until smooth.

  5. Create Caramel Swirl:

    • Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

    • Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it and swirl gently with a knife.

    • Pour the remaining batter on top and repeat with the rest of the caramel sauce, creating another swirl.

  6. Bake:
Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. Prepare Glaze:
Whisk together caramel sauce, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth and pourable. Drizzle over the cooled cake, letting it drip down the sides.
