Crispy Baked Chicken Schnitzel

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Season chicken cutlets with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. Dredge the Chicken:
    Set up three shallow bowls — one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat evenly with breadcrumbs. Press gently to help the coating stick.

  3. Bake the Schnitzel:
    Place the breaded chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil to promote crispiness. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 75°C).

  4. Serve:
    Serve warm with fresh lemon wedges for squeezing over the top and a side of salad or roasted vegetables.
