Crispy Korean Corn Dog Flags

  1. Prepare the Flags:
    Skewer the sausages, optionally alternating sausage and cheese chunks on each stick. Pat them dry with a paper towel so the batter sticks better.

  2. Make the Batter:
    In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the egg and milk, whisking until you have a smooth, slightly thick batter that coats the back of a spoon.

  3. Coat the Flags:
    Dip each skewer into the batter, making sure it’s well coated. Roll immediately in panko breadcrumbs for a crispy finish.

  4. Fry to Perfection:
    Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the skewers until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  5. Serve and Enjoy:
    Serve hot with ketchup, mustard, spicy mayo, or sweet chili sauce!
