Delicious Brown Sugar Pork Chops – Sweet, Savory, and Perfectly Caramelized

  1. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels.

  2. Mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub evenly on both sides.

  3. (Optional) Let chops rest at room temperature for 10–15 minutes for even cooking.

Step 2: Sear the Pork Chops

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Sear pork chops 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.

  3. Transfer to a plate (they will finish cooking in the glaze).

Step 3: Make the Glaze

  1. Reduce heat to medium in the same skillet.

  2. Melt butter, then sauté garlic for 30 seconds.

  3. Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, water, and Dijon mustard.

  4. Cook 2–3 minutes until sugar dissolves and glaze thickens slightly.

Step 4: Cook in the Glaze

  1. Return pork chops to the skillet.

  2. Spoon glaze over the chops and cook 5–7 minutes, flipping once.

  3. Cook until chops reach 145°F (63°C) internally and glaze is caramelized.

Step 5: Rest & Serve

  1. Remove from heat and let rest 3–5 minutes.

  2. Spoon extra glaze on top before serving.
