Grandma’s Classic Apple Strudel — A Family Tradition

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare Filling: In a bowl, mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins.

  3. Prep Pastry: Roll out pastry on a lightly floured surface. Brush lightly with melted butter and sprinkle breadcrumbs over the surface.

  4. Add Filling: Spread apple mixture evenly along one side of the pastry, leaving a border.

  5. Roll & Seal: Carefully roll the pastry over the filling, tucking the edges to seal. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
