- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a deep-dish pie plate. 
Step 2: Brown the Sausage
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage until fully cooked. 
Step 3: Prepare the Vegetables
- Dice the red bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms. 
- Add the vegetables to the skillet with the sausage. 
Step 4: Add Garlic
- Stir in minced garlic and sauté with the sausage and vegetables for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. 
Step 5: Prepare the Batter
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, Bisquick, sage, and black pepper until smooth. 
Step 6: Combine Cheese
- Stir 2 cups of grated Monterey Jack cheese into the sausage and vegetable mixture in the skillet. 
- Save about ½ cup of cheese for topping. 
Step 7: Assemble the Pie
