Southern-Style Classic Deviled Eggs

  1. Cook the Eggs

    • Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water.

    • Bring to a boil over medium heat, then simmer 9–12 minutes until hard-cooked.

    • Transfer to ice water to cool completely, then peel.

  2. Prepare the Filling

    • Slice eggs in half lengthwise and remove yolks carefully.

    • Mash yolks in a bowl with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  3. Fill the Eggs

    • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.

  4. Garnish

    • Sprinkle with paprika and optionally top with chives or pickle slices.

  5. Chill Before Serving

    • Refrigerate at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
